In 1987 Dana Bashor had a vision which would revolutionize the vending industry. Today, the vending industry generates more than thirty-six billion dollars annually. Having discovered that nearly two million offices, employing some sixty million workers, had been all but ignored by the vending industry, Dana founded Planet Antares Incorporated to open this untapped market. His marketing efforts are targeted at businesses which have been perceived as too small by the traditional vending industry. Typically, large vending companies cannot profitably service offices with less than seventy-five employees. Smaller locations are not profitable to these large vending operators because of their industrial-size machines, warehouses, trucks, and employee costs which make them prohibitively expensive. With this in mind, Planet Antares Incorporated, created equipment that is virtually maintenance-free, along with a proven business plan for providing convenient refreshment and snack service to millions of office workers. By training ordinary people how to service small locations, and providing them with all the tools necessary to succeed, Dana's vision has become a reality. His unparalleled success, however, has reached only a fraction of this potential market - the tip of the iceberg. With upwards of two million small locations in North America, Dana Bashor's goal is to aggressively expand the number of Planet Antares distributors to more than 20,000 during the next eight years. These 20,000 new vending entrepreneurs will not be interested in just small office locations, but also the larger, and potentially more profitable locations with over seventy-five employees. The current Antares entrepreneurs are already starting to expand their home-based businesses to take over large office locations serviced by traditional vending companies. Dana
